"Alfredo Castañeda, poetry painter" opens on June 12th at Casa de América

The exhibition "Alfredo Castañeda, poetry painter" , will be on view at Casa de América from 12th June to 7th September 2024, offers a journey through the Mexican artist's work in its most poetic sense. In this sense, Castañeda's paintings are shown along with his poems, generating a dialogue between his painting and his poetry, the artist's two vocations.
Curated by Marina Castañeda, Alfredo Castañeda's granddaughter, the exhibition includes works that are part of his family's private collection, which have already been exhibited before, except for six exclusive works brought especially for the show at Casa de América: Mensaje, Con los signos escapados, Consejo oriental, Instante preciso, El buen camino and El pequeño Rey.
