The multidisciplinary artist Concha Jerez (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1941), distinguished with the National Plastic Arts Award 2015 and Velázquez Award 2017, was a pioneer in conceptual art and performance in Spain. Since the 1970s, she has been developing an intense artistic work based on site-specific interventions, with a markedly critical character.
