Maribel Domènech at Times Square, New York City

Maribel Domènech is participating in the Spanish Art in New York program, which will screen a selection of works by Spanish artists on the iconic Times Square billboards at the intersection of Broadway and Seventh Avenue in New York.

Her work To Observe the World from a Certain Distance (1995) will be projected for one minute every hour throughout the 24 hours of July 18 —one day before the World Cup final is held in the city, a date on which New York will be the focus of international attention. 

The project is part of an initiative promoted by Santana Art Gallery and Galería Oriente y Occidente, whose goal is to promote and raise the profile of Spanish art on the international stage.
