Tomorrow in Santander, José María Lafuente Opens His New Project “Cultura Material”

The new Cultura Material project, promoted by collector, entrepreneur, and publisher José María Lafuente —founder of the Archivo Lafuente— opens tomorrow, May 29th, in Santander.

The project launches with the exhibition Las fuentes del Nilo. La infancia de las vanguardias, by Juan Bordes.

Within this context, the curator, academic, architect, sculptor, historian, and collector Juan Bordes proposes an interpretation in which drawing instruction and educational toys are understood as foundational and essential elements for understanding the artistic practices of the early twentieth-century avant-garde.
