Carmen Calvo Interviewed at Fundación Cañada Blanch in Valencia
April 18, 2026
Creativity as a driving force for intellectual inquiry and reflection: this is the theme of the talk, which will take place at the Fundación Cañada Blanch in Valencia on April 23rd at 7:00 p.m., between the artist Carmen Calvo and the Professor of Art History and curator Rafael Gil Salinas.
The interview, conducted and moderated by art consultant Amparela Benlliure, will revisit Calvo's work, which is structured as an exercise in recovering, transforming, and resignifying images and materials from visual culture and everyday experience.
Furthermore, through this three-voice conversation, it will be possible to trace the artist's artistic practice—characterized by the use of painting, collage, photography, installation, and found objects—and her conceptual practice—rooted in memory, identity, the body, and the archive.
The event will be transmitted through the Foundation's Youtube Channel.
