The exhibition Una fuerza del pasado opened on September the 23rd at CaixaForum Barcelona, featuring artist Concha Jerez and her work Retrato mental de Marcel Duchamp I, 1988.

Curated by Carlos Martín and Nimfa Bisbe, the exhibition uses works from the Fundació la Caixa collection to foster a dialogue across eras that invites reflection on the present. It explores the concept of tradition and poses a simple yet crucial question: What does it mean to look back in a time that seems condemned to the present continuous?
