Review of “An Era Builds Cities. An Hour Destroys Them”

July 10, 2026

A review of the exhibition “An Era Builds Cities. An Hour Destroys Them,” by artists Águeda de la Pisa and David Beltrán, has been published in the magazine Frontera Digital.

The text highlights the dialogue established between the works of both artists through a photographic exploration of Madrid and Havana, where the urban landscape becomes a space for experimentation between reality and abstraction. The review emphasizes the influence of Cubism and abstraction in Águeda de la Pisa’s work, as well as the poetic dimension of her images. Regarding David Beltrán, it highlights his interdisciplinary practice—which combines photography, painting, and installation—and his interest in expanding the possibilities of the photographic language from an experimental perspective.
