Maribel Domènech, one of the 8 most prominent women in Valencia

Since 2021, the Valencian Council of Culture has been promoting an initiative that has already become a tradition: each year, it selects eight Valencian women—whether by birth or by choice—who have distinguished themselves in the fields of culture and science through their excellence and their commitment to gender equality.

In this edition, our artist and professor of Sculpture at the UPV, Maribel Domènech, is part of this prestigious selection.

Under the title, in Valencian, 8 Women for March 8, the award ceremony will take place on March 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the CVC headquarters.

The awardees will receive, from eight members of the Regional Government, a sculpture created specifically for the occasion by the artist Amparo Carbonell.
