Gina Arizpe's solo exhibition at MEIAC

October 15, 2025

Artist Gina Arizpe opens her solo exhibition Lo que no se ve, curated by José Jiménez at Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC)

The Mexican artist's work has focused on the role and situation of women in this turbulent and convulsive world. Her reflections on the subjugation, concealment and even extreme violence to which women are victims of, have had a wide resonance in Spain and Latin America.  Therefore, MEIAC is organizing Lo que no se ve, an exhibition that synthesises her work through 13 pieces dated after 2013, allowing viewers to appreciate the depth and originality of her work, as well as the expressive diversity of the media she uses.

This Friday, 17th October, the presentation and press conference will take place at the Museum (C. Virgen de Guadalupe, 7, 06003 Badajoz) at 10:30 a.m. In addition, there will be a guided tour with the artist and the curator at 7:30 p.m.

The exhibition will be open until 29 March 2026.
