Mar Solís in Temas de Arte

The exhibition Object_Subject in Revolution, Mar Solís’s first solo show at Freijo Gallery, has been reviewed in Temas de Arte by curator Manuel Víctor del Campo Yllera.

Under the title Mar Solís and Her Work Conquer Time and Space. And the Future, the article explores Solís’s sculptural practice through her relationship with matter, space, calculation, and quantum physics.

The review particularly highlights the over-four-meter-tall linden wood installation that serves as the exhibition’s centerpiece, as well as the inclusion—for the first time in her career—of pieces made with new materials, such as ceramics and porcelain.

The review highlights the rigor of the artist’s work and her approach to integrating concepts from physics and cosmology. As visitors walk through the exhibition and interact with the space, they transition from observers to becoming part of the sculptural system itself.
