Object_Subject in Revolution

Mar Solís

from September 10, 2026 to November 7, 2026

We are pleased to announce that for the 2026 edition of Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend, we will present the first solo exhibition in Freijo Gallery, by sculptor Mar Solís (Spain, 1967).

The exhibition “Object__Subject in Revolution” seeks to challenge our vision of a homogeneous and stable universe, imagining it as a space in rotational motion; a spinning universe that affects the very fabric of space-time and, therefore, all that exists.

Inspired by theories of cosmology and chaos theory, the exhibition presents itself as a system essentially governed by unpredictable behaviors and shifting forms, in which the works—created primarily from materials as diverse as stainless steel and ceramics—unfold within installation spaces that envelop the viewer.

Waves, turbulence, multi-axis rotations; each element functions as a sensory extension of the body, receptive to any alteration in its environment, inviting us to experience space from a physical and intuitive dimension where everything connects in revolution and, inevitably, changes.
