Semantic fields

Los Torreznos

from September 11, 2025 to October 25, 2025

A semantic field is a set of words that share one or more features of meaning.

The performative work necessarily proposes a map of ideas. A meeting place where to weave a discourse of concepts and associated actions.

The starting point is always the choice of a subject of interest. A broad, very generic theme, which can be developed from different points of view, and where the spectator can also move around with a certain degree of comfort.

The semantic field is a territory. It is also a map on which to orientate oneself. A territory of construction of meaning associated with meaning.

They explore the semantic fields of ideas and observe how they provoke waves and vibrations between them. Some relationships are obvious and others invisible.

In this exhibition they translate into images and conceptual maps some areas of the exploration of three themes we have been working with in recent years: art, reality and people.

An art based on reality where people end up being the protagonists.

At the intersection of these semantic drifts, Los Torreznos try, in their own intense, absurd and unprejudiced way, to shed light on a world that is increasingly tending towards meaninglessness.
