Born in 1972 in Cuba. Lives and works in Miami, U.S.A.
Antuan is an artist that works with a diverse range of mixed media.
He studied Fine Arts from the Universidad Félix Varela, Cuba, 1996. With an intense training in visual arts and an emphasis in sculpture and tridimensional work, Antuan leaves Cuba for France to continue his training and education in art. In 1997 he obtains his Master in Bronze Casting under the direction of sculptor Josep Castell in Perpignan, France. In 1998 he moves to Spain and receives a Fine Arts Scholarship granted by Bancaja Foundation, Valencia, Spain. He did an installation about AIDS, the work is in the Valencia Politecnica University collection.
In 2016-2017 the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami) shows his retrospective The Other Dimension, in Art Basel Miami, Art Exhibition and Events.
In 2010 he designs and produces Base Paint, Epic, Miami, FL, during Art Basel Miami Beach, a monumental humanitarian project through which Caribbean artists intervened to decorate tents used as classrooms for Haitian children victims of the earthquake. The project was also presented and widely acclaimed in Port Au Prince.
Antuan's work has been shown in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Cuba, The Dominican Republic, England, France, Greece, Haiti, Italy, Martinique, Mexico, The Netherlands, Panama, Puerto Rico, Spain, The United States, and Vatican City.
In 2017 his solo exhibition Human Codes took place at Freijo Gallery in Madrid.
